Your hometown candidate.

Jennifer Adams is a Florida native who grew up in Central Florida. She is a mom and small business owner whose head and heart are firmly rooted in the community she knows and loves.

Having survived domestic abuse and the devastation it wreaks on victims’ lives, Jennifer knows what it is to overcome adversity and not only survive, but thrive.

Her tenacity is not only learned, it’s inherited. Both of Jennifer’s grandfathers proudly served in the military; her mom is a former elementary school teacher; and her dad was the first scholarship-receiving football player to graduate with an architectural degree from the University of Florida.

She has more than 15 years of experience in community engagement, legislative policymaking and conflict resolution, with a forward-thinking approach that emphasizes partnerships and collaboration to identify successful solutions to complex challenges.

Jennifer understands that our nation is at a crossroads and, as a parent, decided to run for Congress to ensure all children and families have access to economic opportunity, quality education, living wage jobs and the same freedoms she enjoyed growing up in Central Florida.

Congress is not working as it should for the American people to deliver on those goals, but as a former athlete who competed in high school, college and in the Olympic Development Program, Jennifer has the dedication, determination and can-do attitude to make a difference for all Americans, especially those in this community.

Jennifer currently serves as the Executive Director for Florida Community Partnership where she leads a team of expert strategists to advance solution-based strategies in both the public and private sector.

She serves on numerous non-profit and government advisory boards at the local, state, and regional levels, and often consults with and presents to community leaders, elected officials, policy makers, grassroots organizations, domestic businesses and global organizations.

Her work emphasizes collaborative leadership, smart economic development, innovative policy and improved infrastructure. Jennifer is also passionate about her work preventing violence against women and children.

As a United States Representative, Jennifer will be committed to continuing her fight for those values, as well as advancing civic engagement to empower all voters, ensuring a fair legal system, and enhancing transparency in government.

Jennifer is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Mediator. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Florida and a Master’s Degree in Legal Studies and another in Social Policy from Washington University at St. Louis’ School of Law and Brown School.

Jennifer is also a Clark-Fox Leadership & Graduate Policy Scholar recipient, a selectee of the Bob Graham for Public Service Women’s Leadership Forum, a graduate of the Orlando Economic Partnership Political Leadership Institute and The Campaign School at Yale University, and is a former board director and legislative chair for the League of Women Voters of Florida.

Jennifer lives in Winter Park, Florida with her children. When she is not leading change and bettering lives, Jennifer serves as an expert navigator and master multi-tasker as CEO of “Mom’s Mobile Logistics,” taking her kids to various events.

Jennifer enjoys running, golf, fishing, reading and spending time at the beach with her children. She and her family are also huge sports fans who enjoy rooting for the Florida Gators and the Tampa Bay Rays. Jennifer most enjoys cheering on her own  children and their various sports teams and volunteering at their school activities.
